Story
Onna village is located on the western side of the central part of the main island of Okinawa, and is one of the most famous resorts in Japan. Large resort hotels line Highway 58 which runs along the coast. Coral reefs spread the ocean and in July 2018, Onna village declared itself a "Coral Village," making efforts to preserve and nurture their natural environment. GIven that 80% of the village area is mountainous, there are plenty of small rivers, and the abundance of water allows for the cultivation of rice and rush, which is rare in Okinawa prefecture.
Notes
Wanting to get away from the city life, Megumi, comes to the ocean in the village of Onna in Okinawa. There, she meets Nagisa, a cheerful and innocent girl who gets along with anyone.
Based on the theme of the contradictory feelings of "wanting to die" and "wanting to live", this fantasy film unfolds in Onna village, Okinawa, under the blue skies, surrounded by its rich nature and nostalgic townscapes.

Director's Profile | Entertainer name: Gori of Garage Sale. Born 1972, in Naha city, Okinawa. After dropping out of the Nihon University College of Art (Film Department, Theater Course), he formed comedy duo Garage Sale with junor high school friend Hiroki Kawada. Actively appeared in TV programs, receiving his big break as the character Gorie in 2005, and also sang at the 56th annual NHK Kohaku Utagassen. After this, he expanded his activity into acting, where he played the older brother of the hero of NHK Asadora "Churasan". Made his directorial debut with the short film "Keiji Bogi" in 2006. Received great praise for "born, bone, boon." (2016), receiving the Japan Category Grand Prix at the 2017 Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA), and the Audience Award at the SKIP City International D Cinema Film Festival 2017, as well as the Audience Award at the 12th JAPANCUTS, North America's largest Japanese film festival held in New York, and the film gathered a lot of attention with its nationwide release in Japan.
