Story
A moving music documentary of Wenders' fascination with Cuban music featuring Ry Cooder.
The album "Buena Vista Social Club", which Ry Cooder created with legends of Cuban music sold more than 1 million copies worldwide, and won a Grammy in 1997.
Then, two years later, we accompany Ry Cooder as he visits his Cuban friends again, with longtime friend Wim Wenders who learned about the charms of Cuban music from Cooder. Ibrahim Ferrer, Ruben Gonzales and Compay Segundo speak about their upbringing against the backdrop of the exotic townscape of Havana. This club then embark on an overseas tour following the success of their album. The concert in Amsterdam, Netherlands also ended on a high note, and they eventually land in America, where they perform at New York's famed Carnegie Hall...
