Story

This film is a documentary on the lives of people living either side of the railway tracks. These low-income communities are now vanishing as Sri Lanka`s capital Colombo is fast developing into high rises and posh neighbourhoods. The railway communities are comprised of families who came to Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, from village areas to restart their lives in the city. Some families have lived for several generations spanning humdred years. In the film they recall their stories and how they live with the train that crosses their lives every day. The film looks at the younger generation living in the community and their dreams.
